Recording the Use of Electric Prods

Slaughterhouse employees in live animal areas often face time pressure to maintain the slaughter line's pace. Sometimes, animals resist movement due to injuries or discomfort caused by light, noise, or air currents.

Monitoring the use of electric prods throughout the day is challenging, as shocks are brief and easily missed during random inspections. A permanent record can help identify issues, misuse, and provide an objective database for training and improvement.

• Available electric prod: Type KAWE21 (like on the picture).
• The transmission range is 100 m with walls and 3,000 m line of sight.
• ​Each data logger can receive signals from eight drivers.
• An integrated counter continues to count even without a signal being received to check whether the electric prod has been used outside the reception range or whether the receiver has been deactivated.
• Real-time data on PC and smartphone.
• Data integration into the digital checklist is possible.

• Can be attached to the electric prod without tools.

Usage

• 27 cm tall and robust.
• To start the electric prod, press it against the animal. The pins move in and start the power for a second.
• There is no separate push button.

Receiver

• ​Integrated SIM card, no network cables required.
• 230 V power supply, power pack included.
• Protection class IP65
• Installation indoors on walls, mast installation or can be placed on horizontal surfaces.
• Fully preconfigured by Genba Solutions GmbH. When the power pack is plugged in, the device establishes a connection to the database and receives signals from the electric drivers.

Installation in the Truck

The receiving device is installed in the driver's cab and accurately records every electrical shock. Our intuitive online platform provides full transparency regarding usage frequency at all times.
